Abstract:
The economic transformations that began in Russia in 1992 have affected various aspects of society. Statistically significant was the change in the household consumption structure due to the formation of a fundamentally new consumer market that helped Russia to get rid of chronic shortages, ushered in technological innovations (digitalization) and paved the way for a growing number of manufacturers offering new goods and services. Shifts in the household consumption that occurred in the first two decades of the XXI century are confirmed by sales figures and budget surveys and are generally assessed positively. Relevant in the coming period are the identification and assessment of possible changes in the consumer behavior of households in the context of economic sanctions.
